Blue - The Bag
Does that look like a license plate bag? That’s because it is. In fact, this Super Cyclone bag is made with two authentic license plates wrapped around 6-inch hubcaps. Have you seen anything cooler?
Buying green is in and this bag definitely falls under reusable resources. It even has recycled rubber and bottle caps. These unique bags are available from Little Earth which I have never heard of before now. This particular style goes for $79.00. Pick your favorite or home state as you have fifty to choose from. It’s sure to make all your friends jealous.
Which one would I pick? Why New York of course.

Blue - The Shoes
You already know I love blue but did you know I love Clarks? I once wore the soles off a pair of Clarks clogs. It took me four years to do it but I did. I know it’s really sad to love a pair a shoes but I do. So much so I haven’t been able to throw them away. Now they are gardening shoes.
In my travels to bring you a blue shoe I came across these Clarks in “new blue” for $49 from Marty’s Shoes. If you’ve ever bought a pair of Clarks you know this is a pretty good price.
These babies are have a delicate flowering embossing stitched into the soft leather. They are so dark you can’t even tell they are blue. It’s like your own little secret. I love them so they are now classified among my favorite things. Don’t you think those soles would make an amazing footprint?

When ever I think of blue jeans I think of that Neil Diamond song, “Forever in Blue Jeans”. Am I dating myself? If you’ve never heard it now you can (click on mini play button): Neil Diamond – Forever in Blue Jeans.
Being as it’s the beginning of summer I decided to go with the capri look. Have you noticed how everyone can’t pull off a capri? It’s unfortunate because everyone can’t pull off a short either. I’m an anti-short person and think I look pretty good in a capri.
I like the casual look of these Venezia Capris from Lane Bryant which come in size 14 -28. The sandblasted wash makes them look bluer and softer. Of course being denim (cotton/spandex) they are machine washable. And yes it comes with the red belt.

Blue - The Tunic
The theme this week is blue. Blue is my absolute favorite color. Blue is tranquil, it’s inviting and it’s cool and collected. So totally not me. Maybe that’s why I like it. They say opposites attract after all.
Tunics have been really big this past year and there’s no sign they are leaving any time soon. I can live with that. I thought for sure it would be easy to find a great blue tunic with character but it was much harder than anticipated. Then I found this striped tunic for only $19.98. What a bargain!
It’s made of lightweight crinkled gauze and has a metallic thread stitched along the alternating stripes. I love empire waists as they are great at hiding a bundle. A bonus of this little number is it is machine washable. Hello!? There is a god.

Red - The Shoes
What is it with girls and shoes? Now I don’t really consider myself a shoes horse but my husband Jeff certainly thinks I have way more shoes than I need. He couldn’t be more wrong. I’ve been trying to convince him for years that he hasn’t seen anything.
I love shoes. Especially comfy lazy day shoes. When I went searching through Marty’s online shoe shop for red shoes I knew these ones were the ticket (holy cliche batman). It must be the sexy red dress and lingerie from earlier this week. Are these hot or what? And they are on clearance for $24.99.
As the description says, these little honeys are perfect for evening wear. Get a load of the little rhinestones on the heal. I probably could have done without that. What really gets me is the thin straps and the way they cross over and follow the shape of the foot up. They also come in grape if you’re curious. Any room in your closet?!

Red - The Lingerie
This satin jacquard corset is one of my favorite pieces from Hips & Curves. This particular item is available in sizes 38-44 and prices for $64.95.
These days corsets are not only functional they are beautiful. The tapestry fabric with accented lace has the traditional tightening ribbons down the back and hook and eye clasps up the front. Of course it has padded underwire cups to provide feminine support and shaping to the breasts. The front and back bone helps contribute to the hourglass shaping when fastened into place.
This plus size corset comes with adjustable garters and a matching g-string although I don’t hold out much hope for that piece as usually most of the design prowess goes into the corset.
Plus size lingerie has become a huge market for retailers, especially online. Plus size women have demanded feminine and sexy lingerie for decades and now it seems like the providers are listening. From this piece you can see why Hips & Curves is one of the top providers. Now go have some fun!

Red - The Dress
This little number from Kiyonna screams sexy doesn’t it? Being sexy has always been important but even more so these days. Sexy has evolved over the years. For years sexy was being defined by our male counterparts. Women are taking charge of their bodies in more ways than one. They are defining how sexy they want to be and it isn’t always (if ever) to attract the opposite sex. Often it’s just a state of mind. And to clarify, sexy isn’t sleazy. This red dress is definitely all that.
Besides the obvious hue of this dress, I love the cut. The neck cross over and high ruffling at the waist is very flattering for plus size curves; especially those of the hour glass nature. Although I could see the high waist being flattering on those with some belly pudge.
There is just enough sleeve to cover the upper arm for those sensitive about that area but enough arm is exposed to benefit from some soft touching or provide some air circulation. It’s made of super soft jersey knit (polyester, rayon, spandex combo) so you know it’s going to be comfortable.
This would be an excellent addition to any “sophisticated” or “flirty” woman’s wardrobe. It will work at the office, an evening out on the town or a last minute wedding invitation. I would however find better shoes!

Don’t just love the sound of “Ruby”? Say it with me now… “Ruuubeee”. I came across this Oprah Winfrey knock off at Emitations that is red, simple, stunning and affordable. I can totally see Oprah wearing something like this and I can totally see myself wearing this earring and necklace set. It would look quite nice against my ivory skin. And it’s sparkly. I loves a good sparkly.
Because they are imitation diamonds they are affordable at $59.99. Finding appropriate chain lengths can be a challenge so I like that it’s offered in 16, 18, 20 and 24 inch.

Red - The Bag
This week’s theme is red. Red is bold. Red is sensual. Red is hot. I was slow to warm up to red. It was only during the last ten years that I have come to appreciate the power of red. I would never wear red lipstick mind you. I just can’t carry it off. Trust me. I envy a woman who can wear a good bold red on her face and still look stunning. Angelina Jolie for one.
In my travels for red items for this week I came across this purse from Baghaus. I know it’s mostly pink but the contrast is red and it really makes it pop. I also love the silver snaps which will make it stand out even more by catching the rays of sun sending reflections off in all directions.
This little bitty zip top hobo design is loosely inspired by the tastes of fashion designer Betsey Johnson.

Color / Colour Theme
I’m going to start things off with a colour themes. This will continue for the next 10 weeks to co-inside with the most common crayon colours: red, yellow, blue, pink, green, purple, orange, brown, white and black.
I’m not going to dwell on these colour choices or the accuracy of colour names. Meaning if it looks crimsom it will fall into the red category or if it looks violet it will fall into the purple category. Lets keep it simple shall we.
This week I have a hankering for red but I think for simplicity I’ll commit to a specific weekly schedule and hopefully things will strike my eye as such. So here goes:
Week 1 - Red
Week 2 - Blue
Week 3 - Yellow
Week 4 - Green
Week 5 - Purple
Week 6 - Orange
Week 7 - Brown
Week 8 - Pink
Week 9 - White
Week 10 - Black
I hate to point this out but Murphy’s Law say someone will probably message me about it. With each weekly colour theme I am not suggesting you wear all these items together.
Am I missing a colour you think should be represented? Something that doesn’t fall under the above 10 colours? Let me know and I’ll consider adding another week.
