Yellow - The Jewelry

I love hand made jewelry. I also love long necklaces which can be a challenge to find. This Laray Long Necklace designed and crafted by Chris Franchetti Michaels fits nicely into this week’s yellow category.

It’s made with “rare vintage Czech glass beads” and measures 38.5 inches. And it’s on sale for $59 (regular $95) plus free shipping in the U.S.

Yellow - The Dress

One of my favorite online shops for plus size women is Monif C. So when I thought about looking for a yellow dress I immediately thought of them. If you haven’t heard of Monif C. It is a family business started by Monif Clarke and her mother Elaine. Monif C’s plus size designs are gaining steam exponentially. After only a few years online they decided to open their first boutique in New York. Kind of a reverse business process really, when you think about it, as most people tend to open a walk-in shop then venture online.

Monif C dresses are not for the meek of heart. They are bold, colourful and designed to show off a woman’s curves. For this instalment I decided on the “Sunner” Golden Maxi Dress in Yellow. It is so hard to find a long dress and this one looks perfect. The “Sunner” is a U.S. made design and comes in sizes 14 - 24; along with ’boutique’ pricing ($238). This little softy has summer written all over it. Whether it’s a wedding or a nice romantic dinner for two. It’s a stunner.

Yellow - The Bag

It’s all in the details. And this little clutch has lots of sexy details from the faux croc leather to the silver linked highlights. Have you figured out I like sparklies?

I think this vibrant accessory would look great paired with all black to make it pop (That’s my latest word. Jeff likes to use it when I get miffed. “She’s going to pop!” It always makes me laugh.)

Yellow - The Shoes

I have been seeing these rubber shoes every. And I mean every where. Men and women of all shapes and sizes seem to be hoarding these shoes. I have to admit I’m not one of them. Yet. It’s the whole rubber thing. But these golden ones are awfully pretty. Don’t you think?

These aren’t cheap imitations. These are the real things. Crocs. They vary in price depending on colour but are a reasonably priced brand at $29.99.

There are three things I love about these things. A. They have an odor resistant interior. It is summer after all. B. The strap can be decorative across the bridge of the foot or functional across the back of the heel. C. They are dishwasher safe! I could do a load of shoes with a load of ball caps.

Yellow - The Lingerie

Yellow is bright and cheery and peaceful. When I think of yellow I think of the sun and early morning sunrises. I decided to start our yellow week off with a little bit of lingerie; specifically, Hips & Curves Cut-Away Baby Doll which comes in a pleasing shade of yellow that is neither too bright or too pale.

This satiny and lace baby doll is also just the right amount of sexy with the split up the front. It’s unfortunate these types of clothing come with thong panties but I’m thinking most ladies either don’t have them on for long or they do without them completely. I wonder how my white briefs would look?
