Mia Tyler Starts a Revolution

Plus size model and actress, Mia Tyler has never been afraid to shake things up. So it comes to no surprise that she’s starting a revolution. Actually, it’s a clothing line, it just happens to be called Revolution 1228. The 1228 is to represent the sizes it will cover, 12 – 28.

This is a joint venture with pal and designer Victoria Baker-Winfrey. Both Mia and Victoria know the plight of the curvy fashionistas out there and it is their hope to to produce “cool trendy affordable plus size fashions” that please.

At the moment it is in the beginning stages but they have made an official announcement and are looking for ways to raise the $100,000 capital needed to get things off the ground.

They have an interesting start up premise encouraging fans to make donations (anything goes–as low as $5) in exchange for future use coupons, autographed pictures, personal phone calls, a modelling stint, and a personal greet; depending on the amount wagered.

A deadline hasn’t been set but I’m hoping everything falls into place soon. The more plus size clothing designers/manufacturers who actually have a background being plus size and fashionable the better.
