Tribal Knit Dress
I may be pushing it a bit early but with the warm weather I’ve been getting lately, how can I not. Sundresses and shaved legs have made it around the corner!
I’m not exactly sure what makes this “tribal” but I love it anyway. Having two patterns that compliment one another helps to prevent that strange phenomena that happens to your eyes when someone is dressed in the same pattern from head to toe.
This is a lovely flowing dress that comes in sizes 12 – 34 from Ulla Popken, a place I should check in on more often. They have many interesting looking pieces that I haven’t seen anywhere else.

Red Hot Swimdress
One of my favorite plus size swimsuits at Swimsuits for All is this Sweetheart Twist Swimdress in red (it also comes in a few patterns but in red it’s hot).
It is currently on sale for $54 which is probably why there are only sizes 22 and 24 left.
I love the way this soft cup swimdress crosses over at the breast providing pleasing contours, this and the sweetheart neckline are incredibly flattering. As are the shirring at the waist (I love shirring) and the mini ruffle skirt. The mini skirt still provides hip coverage with now worries about it inflating to you armpits. I hate when that happens. Cute individualy, sexxy all together.
Don’t forget your sunscreen!

Spring Sandals
With spring comes the influx of painted toes and sandals. I love both. Over a Zappos they have a new spring line up of sandals for women to make any curvy chic a springy mood. They have hundreds of styles to flip through. I really had a hard time limiting my selection but here are three of my favorites:
Born Braid sandals for $88.95 in sizes 6 – 10
Sofft Fiji sandals in multicolor and gold/bronze for $99.90 in sizes 6 – 12
Dr. Scholl’s Diefy for $93 in sizes 5 – 11
And one that made me wonder what they were thinking:
Seriously, the choices in sandals are virtually endless from casual to dressy, from high to low, from functional to fashionable. Go have some fun!

Lily Ecolo Eco-Friendly Bags
Lily Ecolo, an eco-friendly carry all bag company in Canada has just updated their website. It’s one of my favorite eco-bag companies providing an assortment of bags both in design and size.
I emailed Josee on the weekend to ask her about using a coupon on my blog and she offered Five Favorite Things readers their own coupon. How sweet is that?
If you use the coupon code: plusshe01 you will receive a 10% discount on all the products in the store. There is no minimum purchase. This coupon will expire May 28th 2009.
Here are three of my favorites:
As you can see I seem to have a thing for stripes today. The first item is the Lily Ecolo change purse which sells for $12 Can. The second is the Lily Ecolo mini which sells for $25 and last but certainly not least is the Lily Ecolo uber practical bag for $59. She also has many bags that are black with subtle fabric trim.
Lily and Ecolo will ship to Canada and the United States. Some of the customer service features like faqs and shipping information are still being posted but Josée St-Amand is very quick to reply to any questions via email.

The Grey Suit
The women’s grey suit has come a long way since it was first introduced to take the heat of the black suit. Just like the black suit it is versatile with the color palette that can go with it. But it has been pretty limited as to design.
Until now! Igigi has a wonderful two piece grey suit set. The first piece is the Marcela Wrap Jacket. It comes in sizes 12 to 30 for $142. The defining details are the notched lapel, pleats and off centre closure.
The second piece is the fully lined Marcela Skirt. It comes in sizes 12 – 30 for $62. It’s defining details are the princess seam shaping and the inverted pleats. I LUV those inverted pleats.
They are perfectly matched to be worn together and are perfectly acceptable to be worn with other items from your wardrobe like pieces of your black suit for instance or a blast of bold color.

T-Strap Wedge
I love a good wedge. They will probably never go out of style. I found these 4 1/4″ (they have a 1″ platform) beauties by Pink Studio at the Endless online shop (they have beautiful girly shoes and bags) and they are perfect for the pending season of flowy skirts and capris.
I really love the steel blue leather upper but it also comes in cinnamon (blah). The Women’s London T-Strap Wedge is currently offered in sizes 5.5 – 10 M for $95.95. If you check out the link below be sure to scroll down to see the endless array of wedges they are showing off.

Night Sky Earrings
One of things I loved doing (and still do) growing up was gazing at the night sky. My girlfriend and I would lounge on our backs, side by side on the dock for hours; our eyes directed toward the night sky. We talked about nonsense most of the time but it was also one of those times where you could relax and talk about nothing and not feel uncomfortable.
I love the stars (and the moon, can’t leave out the mystical moon). Arts vs Crafts over at Shana Logic also loves the night sky. One of their artists created these adorable Night Sky earrings.
These earrings are long — 3″. The black star dangles at the end of alternating red and black fire blasted glass beads from sterling silver hooks. These artist rendered earrings are an affordable $20.
Make sure you take a few minutes to enjoy the night sky tonight!

Plus Size Levi’s at Torrid
One of my favorite brands of jeans growing up was Levi’s. I literally wore them bare. It was a great clothing disappointment for me when I grew out of Levi’s and could no longer enjoy the quality and fit. No longer!
Over at the trendy plus size clothing shop, Torrid, I found three pairs of Levi’s brand jeans. They are not in a full range of sizes but still, I’m happy to see them in plus sizes. And they are on sale:
Levi’s Full Waist Bootcut Denim Jean in sizes 16 – 22 for $34.98 (reg $48)
Levi’s Defined Waist Bootcut Denim Jean in sizes 16 – 22 for $34.98 (reg $48)
Levi’s Sky Wash Flare-Leg Denim Jean in sizes 16 – 22 for $34.98 (reg $48)
I would actually like a combination of the three: bootcut, defined waist, sky wash. I imagine these styles are end of season, hence the sale. I hope they get more in!

The Big Cook Recipe Book Giveaway
The Big Cook is a recipe book with a mission. Besides the obvious of good food, it instructs foodies on how to create the most meals in the least amount of time leaving a stocked full freezer behind. No more standing at the fridge wondering what to make for supper. The recipe collection and concept was designed by three professional moms: Deanna Siemens, BScN, a mother of three; Lorelei Thomas, B. Ed, M.Ed, a mother of four; and Joanne Smith, B.Sc.H.Ec, RD, a mother of four.
The Big Cook explains how to have an eight hour weekend cook-off with friends but can easily be used on your own. It contains 24 beef recipes, 33 chicken recipes and 16 pork recipes. I highly recommend The Big Cook and hve been savoring the profits for weeks. It saves time, it saves money and it definitely saves the hassle.
