Gel Eyeliner Review

I was turned on to gel eyeliner by one of the make-up experts at Pixiwoo (subscribe to their videos!!) more than a few weeks ago. Sam or Nic, I can’t remember which one, gave a glowing recommendation of A Best Life and their Gel Eye Liner. I made a point of heading over there and ordering a indigo gel eye liner, a package of brushes to replace my archaic ones and a palette of neutral eye shadows — everything was priced right. I want to talk specifically about the gel today because it is fricking awesome! Gel-Eye-Liner-Indigo-Blue

As someone who is dexterity challenged when it comes to applying liquid liner I was incredibly thrilled at how easy and beautifully I was able to put this on the first time I tried it (using one of the new brushes from my new kit). The gel provides a dramatic clean line that is solid from the beginning and didn’t require multiple layers to get an opaque look like some products. It definitely has staying power so if you are going to put a smidgen on your hand to work from I recommend going in an in conspicuous spot as it took more than one hand wash to get it off my hand and I swear I still could see a faded hue afterwards. That being said, it seemed to come off fine at the end of the day with eye make up remover.

It is not only a great eye liner; I have worn the gel as an all over smoky eye cover with a coating of complimentary eye powder. It lasted all day with no creases — something I’m prone to even with the most “trusted” of eye make-up. I resorted to this because MAC’s “sharkskin” is virtually unfindable at an affordable price.

A Best Life’s gel eye liner is an extremely affordable liner at $4.99 with affordable shipping (internationally). I highly recommend giving it a try. Check out the rest of the exhaustive shop of products as well for many other great deals. They have a new gold gel eye liner I want to try next!

I am familiar with eye liner from hanging around theater people but I was not aware there was a gel eye liner. Thanks for sharing the info.
