Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Eyeshadow

My new favorite every day eyeshadow is Avon’s Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Eyeshadow. Avon describes it as:

A cream-to-powder finish that helps to visibly reduce the look of lines and wrinkles. The long-wearing color is crease-proof and waterproof.

I was looking for a light all over shade to kind of bring my eyelid color up to the shade of the rest of my face and thought the heather shade might be the color. I really wasn’t expecting the other claims to work.

The tube has a stick with foam brush applicator and the cream shadow is very thick and almost a bit clumpy. What seems to work best for me is applying it to the center of the lower eye then using a finger to blend it up and out. I then do a final blend with a make-up brush.

I was expecting it to have that tightening feeling many cream-to-powder shadows have but it is set in a matter of seconds with no heaviness — a light dusting of matte pink. It’s a perfect color for my fair skin. And in my case I noticed a mild change in the smoothness of my upper eyelid (thanks to genetics I’ve had soft loose eyelids since I was sixteen) which is an added bonus. The color stayed on all day, reduced oiliness as the day went on and there were no creases after fourteen hours. Bonus!

The Beyond Color Radiant Lifting Eyeshadow comes in a choice of eight colors for $7. I’ve put in an order for crystal waters (light blue) and tiger’s eye (beige) but I really hope that Avon continues this one and adds some darker colors. I would love a smoke made with this blend.
