iPod Fashion

One of the first accessories I wanted when I opened up my iPod box was a cool skin. In my opinion they are pretty expensive from the Apple store so I went to the next best thing eBay.

I was torn between functional and cute. My first impulse was cute so I went with this adorable Hello Kitty sleeve. I paid 55 cents for the item and $7 for international shipping. So, 8 bucks which is at least $12 cheaper than the novelty skins at Apple or any other skin provider that I looked at.

As you can see from the above video it is incredibly cute, but it is not well made and at one point I considered it may be a very bad knock off. The shiny bits are starting to fall off. A perfect example of you get what you pay for and buyer beware.

A little wiser and wanting desperately to take my iPod out and about safely I decided to go with functional and fashionable. This leather case turned out to be a perfect fit. I had saw it when I was browsing the first time and wish I would have saved myself the time and bucks and ordered it first.

I paid less that $7.89 for the case and $2 for the delivery and it only took a few weeks to get here. I really like the product and will now feel comfortable throwing my iPod into the abyss that is my purse without worrying if something is going to press into the glass and damage it. The case feels like genuine soft leather on the outside (smells like it too) and has a soft suede on the inside. The iPod snaps into a regular skin body that is attached to the case. I think I got an excellent deal at $10.

If you are going to go shopping on eBay for your next iPod accessory make you are are specific with your search words being sure to include what generation your iPod is. Good luck!

(p.s. I know about the giant white space after videos. I haven’t been able to figure out how to get rid of it. I assume it is something in the twitvid embed coding.)
