Orange Hobo

I’ve never been a big fan of orange as a main color but I love it as an accessory. And if you have been around for any length of time you know when it comes to bags I like the hobo style. Today’s hobo bag is from one of my favorite bag shops, Baghaus.

The Melie Bianco Triple Pocket Hobo bag has lots of pockets, zippers and loops for effect. The color is rich but not too bold. Don’t like the color? Then there is the option of yellow or black. It’s on sale — $73. Not a huge sale but on sale nonetheless.

Big Buddha Wallet

You found out a few weeks ago that I’m quite fond of the Buddha Bags; well, here’s a Buddha Wallet:

The Big Buddha Jackson Wallet is made from high quality synthetic leather and is on sale for $30. I’d probably ditch the gold charm. But otherwise I think it’s a charming wallet.

As I mentioned on Promo Friday, Baghaus has a great holiday promotion on now. Spend $50 and get 20% Off plus Free Shipping. The coupon code is: DOUBLEDEAL and it expires December 31st.

Pintucked Maison Shopper

After blue, my next favorite color is red. One of the hottest trends in clothing this season is fabrics that have been ruched; which is a fancy term for fabric that has been gathered. This pintucked bag reminds me so much of that look.

This synthetic leather bag from Baghaus is 15″ x 4.5″ x 14″ with an 11″ drop handle. It also comes in white, but seriously, when red is available why would you? It is currently on sale for $52 (regular $72).

Buddha Bags

I’m not sure if I like these bags because of their name (Big Buddha) or because they are such cute bags. Ok, let’s go with both. Big Buddha are designed by Californian designer Jeremy Bassan. And as you can guess by the name they have a relaxed feel to them just like Buddha. Everything seems to come in threes this week. I found a yellow, a brown and a green Big Buddha bag that you must see.

The Big Buddha Shoulder Bag in Yellow
$90 - This is a deep bag with a 9″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in two other colors.

The Big Buddha Postman Bag in Brown
$80 - This bag is made from supple pebbled leather and has a 13″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in one other color but this one is definitely best.

The Big Buddha Teri Shoulder Bag in Green
$70 - Big all around with an 9″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in four other colors.

The Hot Color

Yellow dresses became the hot color on the red carpet at the Emmy’s this weekend but not everyone can wear it. I’m one of those people. If you are one of those people but love bright and sunny then you will probably love this bag as much as I do.

It’s bold, it’s bright and it’s big. The three b’s of the year! It’s not your average looking bag with zippers, snaps and profile.

The Photo Op Purse from Baghaus measures 21″ x 6″ x 12.5″ and also comes in white. It’s on sale for $58.

Hot Club Wear from Hot NiniZ

Terri over at Hot NiniZ emailed me to let me know they have had “a huge increase” in their plus size sexy tops and dresses. They have also expanded their product descriptions with more details about bust size, body type fits and overall item details. Their bargain prices still slay me!

Here are three of my faves for today:

Lei’d Red - I know I haven’t been a friend of the bubble look but I really like this “Hawaiian inspired top”. It is 100% polyester and comes in sizes 1x - 3x for $21.99.

Flowz Wine - What a great name. And there is a whole lot of interesting texture going on here. And talk about showing off the cleavage. It is 90% polyester/10% spandex and comes in sizes 1x - 3x for $19.99.
Dooney and Burke Replica Handbag Black Giraffe - My love for giraffe patterns knows no bounds. There’s another one with red accents but it looks too much like an injured giraffe. I definitely could go for this one though. It’s $44.99.

Giraffe Bag

In the Zoo or on a bag, I love giraffes. Baghaus unveiled this new arrival last week and I luv/love it. It’s called a duffle but it’s 17″ L x 7″ W x 9.5″ H and in my opinion passes for a large awesome bag. The print is sensational on this bag and it’s only $52. Giraffabunga!

Doctor’s Bag But Smaller

Oooo to have the money to splurge on a hand bag! Like this Vivia Ferragamo hand bag from Arm Candy.

This “small doctor” bag, for some reason, reminds me of a snowy owl. Ok, use some imagination people! The buckles are the eyes. The downward peak in the center is the beak. Anyway, I think it’s beautiful. And it’s on sale, 40% off $1300. So only $780. What a bargain.

I could put so many things in this bag. Useful things, too.

Bag Lady Wanna Be

I’ve been pining over a cognac Matt and Nat handbag for over a year so I thought I’d go take a look a gander at it. Guess what? My bag is no longer available! They have a whole new line. That goes to show what I get for waiting. I did find two bags that I may covet for a few more months though. What do you think?

First up is Fifty-Five Japanese paper is a lovely magenta vegan leather handbag. It also comes in grey, coffee (awesome), and black. It is 15.25″ x 16″ x 5.75″ in size and comes with lots of pockets and a detachable shoulder strap. It is $220 Canadian.

Next up is the Kravitz Streamline which is also vegan leather. This overnight bag comes in plum, black, grey and the brown (shown). It is 17.75″ x 14.5″ x 6″. This multi-compartment bag is $285 Canadian.

Baggu Fun

I’m really on a big reusable bag rant lately. And no it’s not just because I created a eco-bag lens. I’ve always loved these types of bags but I’ve found I have a heightened craving for them lately. Which brings me to Baggu.

Baggu offers reusable nylon bags in an fun array of solid colors or stripes (thank you to green thinking for letting me know about them). The bags only cost $8 (less the more you order) and fold up into a handy little pouch. When the bag wears out it can be sent back to Baggu and they’ll recycle it and send out a $1 off coupon for your next purchase.

What I like about these bags is that they are kind of hobo-ish, the colors are fabulous and the company logo is just a little tag instead of a huge brand.

I ordered three bags today (red, black, and peacock) for $22. Shipping was $6.50 ($4 in US). I will update you in the comments when they arrive.
