Orange Hobo

I’ve never been a big fan of orange as a main color but I love it as an accessory. And if you have been around for any length of time you know when it comes to bags I like the hobo style. Today’s hobo bag is from one of my favorite bag shops, Baghaus.

The Melie Bianco Triple Pocket Hobo bag has lots of pockets, zippers and loops for effect. The color is rich but not too bold. Don’t like the color? Then there is the option of yellow or black. It’s on sale — $73. Not a huge sale but on sale nonetheless.

Pintucked Maison Shopper

After blue, my next favorite color is red. One of the hottest trends in clothing this season is fabrics that have been ruched; which is a fancy term for fabric that has been gathered. This pintucked bag reminds me so much of that look.

This synthetic leather bag from Baghaus is 15″ x 4.5″ x 14″ with an 11″ drop handle. It also comes in white, but seriously, when red is available why would you? It is currently on sale for $52 (regular $72).

Buddha Bags

I’m not sure if I like these bags because of their name (Big Buddha) or because they are such cute bags. Ok, let’s go with both. Big Buddha are designed by Californian designer Jeremy Bassan. And as you can guess by the name they have a relaxed feel to them just like Buddha. Everything seems to come in threes this week. I found a yellow, a brown and a green Big Buddha bag that you must see.

The Big Buddha Shoulder Bag in Yellow
$90 - This is a deep bag with a 9″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in two other colors.

The Big Buddha Postman Bag in Brown
$80 - This bag is made from supple pebbled leather and has a 13″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in one other color but this one is definitely best.

The Big Buddha Teri Shoulder Bag in Green
$70 - Big all around with an 9″ shoulder strap drop. It comes in four other colors.

Dots!

I love dots. Especially subtle ones like the ones on this handbag by Lulu Guinness. Not!

This bag is so cute. If you are totally against wearing dots on your body then you definitely have to go with an accessory. Dots are always hot and never seem to go out of fashion.

Yes, it’s just as dainty as it looks with dimensions of 8″ x 7 1/2″ x 4″ (5″ handle). Arm Candy Handbag Boutique has this Dolly Gold bag on for $145, regular $285 .

Blue Bag Me

By now you know how crazy I am for blue. It’s an obsession really. I’m instantly attracted to blue and if I find something I like that isn’t shown in blue the first thing I look for is to see if it comes in blue. Do you think there’s a therapy group out there somewhere?

Today, I found this delicious blue bag at Bloomingdale’s. It also comes in red (hot) and green (who cares). The Kate Spade Pop Nylon bag is biggest at 13″, average I guess. I like them around 15″ but it’s blue so I can make allowances.

This pretty bag is a thrifty $325.

A Week of Treats

Valentine’s Day will be hear in a few weeks so it’s a good time to start thinking about how you’re going to spoil yourself and/or your partner. This week will be all about my favorite Valentine’s buys.

I got a new coupon from Baghaus so it seemed like a good place to start. You can save an additional 5% off all orders of $80 or more which isn’t hard to do. Here’s the coupon code (EXTRA5OFF80) which expires April 1, 2008.

This is it! This is the bag. Ain’t it sweet? That’s because it’s the Sweetheart Bag (433931). How perfect is that for Valentine’s Day? It comes in five colors but really shouldn’t it be red? And it’s on sale for $45.

Simple Reversible Hobo Bag

I think I’m a hobo at heart. Ok maybe a 1/4 hobo, I do like to be spoiled after all. It was love at first site for me when I saw this hobo bag by Naea at Barney’s.

I want to be a designer and design handbags. Not because I’m creative or have any incredible style ideas I want to share with the world; but because this simple little bag costs $250. Just imagine what Naea has in her closet. Sure, it’s reversible. But come on it’s made of viscose.

But still, isn’t it just yummy?

Vicious

This bag from Matt and Nat is incredibly beautiful. It is from their Japanese Paper collection and goes by the name Vicious. Even the name is slick.

It comes in plum, blueberry and coffee flavas. Click on the image to see the texture of this bag which is, what I think makes it, along with the luscious color.

If you don’t know already, Matt and Nat is a Montreal designer of fine handbags from an environmental standpoint. No leather is used and they oppose sweat shops. And they are one of my favorite bag suppliers. Smother me in Matt and Nat please!

Girls Love Bags

I was over at Baghaus checking out their new arrivals and came across this bag:

Am I the only one who thinks this is hideous? I can’t be. Bleck! Luckily this bag made up for the abuse of my eyes:
Metallic is still in for fall and this Pewter Hobo bag is perfect. It is inspired by Christian Dior. It’s only $43 which is nothing compared to the $1200 original.
