My boyfriend’s back and I’m gonna to be in trouble… because I’m wearing his blazer. Not! Because it’s mine. Or at least it could be. The “boyfriend blazer” is only styled after something a man might wear and is a hot trend whether you are in or out of a relationship, so here are five of my favorite boyfriend blazers under $150:

Plus Size Military Peacoat
One of the hottest trends this winter is the military peacoat; both double and single (if you can find it). And lucky for us it looks great on the plus size body. If you want to get in on the trend don’t wait much longer because outerwear is disappearing fast!

Winter Maternity
Plus size moms-to-be can only manipulate regular plus size clothing for so long — meaning, before they either looked stuffed into their clothes or they look like they are wearing shapeless fabric. These days there are actually plus size maternity clothing available so there is no excuse for not adding a few pieces.
Motherhood Maternity has an affordable plus size section for sizes 1x to 3x; and while there isn’t an exorbitant selection you will probably find a few pieces to get you through the winter. Here are a few of my favorite pieces for winter:

Amelia Earhart is an American Icon of strength, perseverance, and sensitivity. She is a woman who broke many flying records at a time when women only entered the sky as passengers. Today not only do we see her aviator accomplishments; we also appreciate her fashion sense. If you look back over images of her you’ll see how easily her clothing continues to fit into today’s lifestyle. It looks effortless and charming. I love the most noticeable look that most of us are familiar with; bomber jacket, scarf, khaki pants, and boots/loafers.
Amelia Earhart was definitely not plus size but there is no reason for her look not to be adapted to the plus size frame. Here are my favorite picks for an updated Amelia Earhart look. All the pieces can be worn together or easily broken up to be worn with other wardrobe selections.

Plus Size Outerwear from Lane Bryant
It may seem soon for another outerwear post but it disappears so quickly. Lane Bryant has about twenty-five options for plus size outerwear, many of which I really like but these three are my favorites. As you can tell, I’m fond of double breasted. From left to right: Shimmering Lurex® Thread Coat has a little bit of sparkle for $229.50. In the middle is a cold weather Double Breasted Trench Coat for $119.50 (they have a short red trench that I liked but it didn’t look as if it was cold weather viable). And finally, the Shearling Style Jacket — faux of course — for $249.50. All three of these coats are available in sizes 14 to 28.

Plus Size Outerwear from UK
If you are looking for something different in your outerwear I recommend checking out the UK plus size store Evans. They have an interesting array of short and long coats. And they have surprisingly reasonable shipping to North America. My favorites as you can see are multiple and range in price from £50 to £75 which is about $82 to $124. Evans offers their line of plus size outerwear in sizes 14 to 32. But I’d hurry if I were you, pretty soon spring clothing will be out and outerwear will be scarce.

Plus Size Outerwear
I like a number of Making It Big’s plus size outerwear and apparently Kim Brittingham from Kim Weighs In (professional opinion video short on YouTube) does too. What I like about seeing the coats in action is that I get a better sense of how they look on different plus size bodies. There’s something very warm about Kim’s presentation that made me want to sign up for more of her video productions. Watch the video and let me know what coats you fell in love with.
My favorites? The tweed wool coat and the red a-line wool coat.

Red Leather Jacket
When searching for quality leather goods we shouldn’t limit ourselves to traditional sources; like leather jackets. At Only Leather Jackets I found this fabulous Ladies Red Short Zipper Jacket. It is available in sizes small to 5x. Regularly priced at $199 it is on sale for $69.96. 
It has darts down the breast and goes in slightly it the waist. It’s an excellent length. If you ride a motorcycle it will provide the necessary protection from the elements and accidents but is fashionable enough if you are in the board room or heading for a night out with this girls. No matter what you put with it this motorcycle jacket is red hot. This jacket is available in black, green, turquoise, white, burgundy, brown, pink and salmon (use search box on website).

60’s Dress at Anna Scholz
I’ve been less than impressed with the Anna Scholz collection this year (probably because of the hideous kaftans). Normally I love her stuff to death. I have only found two things: 
This 60s inspired cotton dress in gold is lovely. The description describes it as a little Jackie O (who had wonderful style) and a little go-go — maybe if it were shorter and you added white boots. I think it would be a great career dress or for a Sunday brunch out but definitely without the go-go boots. The dress is currently on sale for £167 and limited to sizes 12 and 18.
The other item is the Frill Trenchcoat in red. Trench coats have been really hot for a few seasons. I love the color on this one and how she’s changed it up by giving it frilled edges for a softer look. This gives it feminine lines without making it look to girly. The color is awesome and the length perfect. This trench coat is currently £250 and comes in a range of sizes from18 to 28.

Junonia Outer Wear Deals
Stock up on some affordable cozy outerwear from plus size clothing designer, Junonia. I found two warm jackets that are marked for 50% off sale, making them a great bargain to stock up on for next year. Both jackets are reversible so you are getting two looks for one. 
The first is a reversible fleece Anorak Jacket for $19.95. It comes cocoa and aloe, onyx and pearl, Terra cotta and cocoa. Sizes 1x – 6x are still available. This wind and water resistant jacket was originally $99.95 and it is machine washable.
The reversible Poly/Fleece Anorak Jacket is also $19.95 (original price $99.95). It comes in artichoke and whimsy, grape and whimsy, tomato and whimsy. I personally don’t care much for the whimsy (fleece) as a jacket but for lining the inside it’s find.
