Top Ten Fix

I have been meaning to comment on Plus Size Fix’s new look for some time now. It feels like they are offering more for the same low prices (they just need to bring their size range up a notch). They have some really cute pieces including colored denim and trendy tops (1x to 3x). Here are my top ten favorite picks of the moment.

Plus size clothing from Plus Size Fix

Left to right:

  • Off Shoulder Colorful Zig Zag Dress, $43
  • Silky Diamond Violet Blouse, $27
  • Belted Polka Dot See Through White Button Up, $34
  • Floor Length Abstract Animal Orange Dress, $49
  • Sexy Leopard Print Skinny Jeans, $43
  • Classic Houndstooth Bodycon Knit Dress, $45
  • Soft See Through Tulip Back Taupe Top, $27
  • Sexy Lace Bubble Teal Dress, $40
  • Soft Premium Colored Purple Skinny Jeans, $39
  • Tan Leather Biker Jacket, $59

I cannot get enough of colored jeans, love the purple. The print denim trend is starting to grow on me too — especially if it is subdued like the grey leopard print above. Some of their “dresses” seem a tad on the short side to me and I would be more inclined to wear them as a  tunic. I definitely cannot get enough of houndstooth and sheer dotted blouses. Overall, looks like a fun place to shop.

What to Wear with Coral Jeans

Bright pants can be a bit threatening but they are easier to wear than you think. Pair coral or bright pink jeans with a white blazer, a polka dot tee, and a few simple accessories for a polished look that does not scream “look at my bright pants!”

Coral is one of the hottest colors for the season and you can find these hot pants at Ashley Stewart in sizes 12 to 26 for $35. The Stretch Three-Quarter Sleeve White Blazer is from Fashion Bug in sizes 6 to 28 for $32. The black Rag Flower Wedges are from Lane Bryant for $50. The basket weave bracelet and earrings are from Loop18 for under $20. The Navy Polka Dot Keyhole (in back) Tee is from Torrid and comes in sizes 0 to 4 for $29. And the quilted Mobile Edge Monaco Handbag is from Career Bags for $55.

Pajama Jeans

I love these! Totally cute. They look super comfy and they are perfectly acceptable for answering the door or dashing out to the mailbox. Although the description says you can wear them as a pj or pant I would lean more toward a PJ or lounge wear. Otherwise it is right up there with wearing flannel sleep pants in public — ew!

These cuties come in sizes 1x to 3x for $59.95. And they come with the brushed cotton grey t-shirt (I’d skip the monogramming part that is offered, I mean we already know our name right). The pants are made of Dormisoft® which is “super soft and stretchy” cotton / spandex blend — something that we all want when we’re lounging or sleeping.

Knit Denim Leggings

From a distance they look like denim skinny jeans (well, except for the elastic waist) but they fit like the comfort of leggings. This particular pair is from Silouettes for $29. They have a pretty fair size range from xl to 3x. Plus Size Denim Leggings from Silhouettes

These cuties would look great with a pair of sheik flats but personally I would pare them with a pair of knee high boots (like the Elin wide calf boots) before it gets too hot to wear them.

Leggings are great for under tunics but don’t get caught up in the whole comfort of leggings phase that fashion seems to be going through. They are good for the occasional casual day but repetitive wearing just looks like you couldn’t be bothered to put yourself together. Use with modesty!
